About the AMU Law Society Review
The AMU Law Society Review is the flagship journal of the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (UP). It is an annual journal which provides an extensive platform for academicians, practitioners, researchers, and students to assimilate, exchange and extend their ideas to facilitate the debate on contemporary legal issues through their scholarly articles and research papers. The journal assumes an interdisciplinary orientation and is wide enough to include national as well as international legal and policy-based issues within its sweep.
The Review has received enthusiastic responses over the years, having continually aimed at raising the bar of academic research with insightful and pertinent contributions to the legal discourse. The AMU Law Society Review 2023 invites chapters in the form of Research Papers, Case Comments/Legislative Comments, Articles & Essays, Book Reviews and other such submissions for its flagship publication. (to be published in the form of a book with ISBN number)
Categories of Submissions
• Research Papers: 3,000 to 5,000 words
• Case Comments/ Legislative Comments/ Articles/ Essays: 1,500 to 2,500 words
• Book Reviews: 1,000 to 2,000 words

Submission Guidelines
Abstract
Submissions must include a brief abstract of not more than 250-300 words providing a capsule summary of the paper. A maximum of 5 (five) keywords must be provided as part of the abstract. The abstract will not be included in the word limit.
Formatting Requirements
• The font must be Times New Roman and size 12 for the main text, and 10 for footnotes.
• Line Spacing must be 1.5 for main text and 1.0 for footnotes.
• Alignments must be justified.
Citation Style
We accept footnote citations exclusively. Citations must conform to the standards laid down in the OSCOLA (4th edition). Speaking footnotes are discouraged.
Co-authorship
Co-Authorship of up to two authors is permitted.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism of up to 10% is permissible.
Exclusivity
Submitted manuscripts should not be simultaneously considered by any other publication at the time of submission. The author(s) undertake to inform the Editorial Board of AMU Law Society Review immediately in case the manuscript is under consideration OR the published manuscript is under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Submissions to the Review shall be evaluated by the Editorial Board. The them submission shall not confess any claim for publication.
Important Dates
Last Date of Submission of the Paper— 22nd January 2023
Communication of Acceptance or Rejection—28th February 2023
Authors shall submit their papers via Google Form which shall be available by 03rd December 2022. A copy of the responses to the Google Form shall be sent to the registered email ID as an acknowledgment of receipt of the paper submission.
Upon the selection of manuscripts, the authors shall be intimated and may be required to make certain changes as suggested to them by the Editorial Board, and shall be given time to resubmit their manuscripts. The authors are expected to be accommodative of the changes that are suggested by the Editorial Board.
