A Wisconsin teenager, Hezile Frison, will serve 20 years in prison for the fatal shooting of his sister, Ashley Hudson, during a fight over social media posts. Frison, who was 15 at the time, pleaded guilty to first-degree reckless homicide. The incident occurred when Hudson, a 30-year-old mother of four, was attacked by her two younger sisters, escalating into a deadly confrontation involving a firearm.
Fight Over Social Media Posts Turns Deadly
On the night of June 16, 2025, Hudson was confronted by her sisters over social media posts. Frison joined the altercation, retrieving a gun from his mother’s car. After the sisters attempted to strike Hudson with a baseball bat, Frison aimed the weapon at her chest and fired. Hudson was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the criminal complaint, one of her sisters, 21-year-old Aaliyah Frison, pleaded guilty to battery and was sentenced to two years’ probation. Their mother, 48-year-old Tara Hudson, pleaded guilty to obstructing an officer and received one year of probation.
Video Evidence Captures the Incident
The fight was recorded by two witnesses who heard the commotion outside. The video shows Hudson attempting to escape by entering a parked car, only for her sisters to continue their assault with the bat. Upon exiting the vehicle, Hudson brandished a knife. At that moment, Frison drew the gun and aimed it at her. Voices in the video plead, “Don’t shoot”, but Frison fired, striking Hudson as she backed away with her hands raised.
Sentencing and Aftermath
During police questioning, Frison falsely claimed Hudson had approached him aggressively. When informed of her death, he responded, “What’s that got to do with me?” At his sentencing, Milwaukee County Judge David Borowski addressed Frison, stating, “You get involved in a fight, it’s complete and utter insanity, and your mother should hear this, insanity between your sisters yelling, screaming. I heard the b-word about 20 times. People swinging bats.
And you walk up to your sister and shoot her in the chest as she was backing away. And even at your age, that’s the best you can muster is ‘I’m sorry about this’?” Frison said, “I want to bring her back.” The judge snapped back, “But you can’t bring her back. And your despicable, deplorable, violent, selfish act of killing your own sister … you don’t get to bring her back.” Frison was sentenced to 20 years in prison plus 10 years of extended supervision.
